So far, my blog has been about life as a non-traditional student and the ups and downs associated with it.
As father day has just past I am reminded that I am also considered part of a non-traditional family.
I have two dads!
A dad, and a step-dad. Now, step parents are associated with negative connotations but my step father is the best dad I could ask for! He always seemed to know when I was about to break up with a guy, and would be prepared with a chocolate bar placed on my pillow…perfect timing.
My real dad moved half-way across the country after divorcing my mom. He lives in Mississippi now, but I love travelling to visit him and my step-siblings are a lot of fun to be with.
This father’s day I wasn’t able to be with either one of my fathers 🙁 a real bummer.
So, this blog is to say I love you both! I miss you both! and I thank you both for all that you have done, all that you do, and all that you will do for me.
