As a full time college student, working two jobs, it’s hard to find the time to keep a hobby. I’m sure many of us fall into this category of “too busy to do what I enjoy”. It takes courage to say “I am going to do what I want to do today!” and put the to-do list aside.
My favorite past time seems to be painting. My grandmother is an artist, and whenever my family would go stay with her, my sister and I would always end up painting. It was a blast!
She would sit us outside on her deck with our water colors, and we would make a giant mess.
Recently, I took and Intro to Painting course at Penn State, which took my painting abilities further.
Here, I’ve featured just a few of my more recent projects.
It is so important as a busy college student to remember to have some fun, and make time for the things you love. I’m not the best at it, but this summer I have plans to make time for what I love, and to paint another reproduction painting.
What about you? Do you make time for your hobbies despite how busy life can get?
